Day 4: DIY Calligraphy Baubles
It's Day 4 of The Twelve Days of Christmas Calligraphy and today we're making these simple and easy Christmas baubles. These can be personalised with a name or a word of your choice and decorated as you like to match your own style.
What you'll need
- Blank bauble - the one I am using is from Hobbycraft but you can use a plain plastic one you might already have, or you can even try making some flat card ones too.
- Paint pens - I used Posca and Sakura pen touch pens
- Twine/Ribbon for hanging your bauble on your tree
Step 1
Start by lettering your name or word to the front of the bauble. This helps makes sure it will fit nicely and not be restricted by your other elements. You can go lightly in pencil first if you prefer.

Step 2
Slowly start to add in some design around your name, focusing on the front first to frame your lettering. I used my signature black leaves and gold stars on mine, but you can add what ever you like. For example you could add snowflakes, stars, hearts, spots, holly, berries.
Tip - Make sure each section is dry as you're rotating otherwise you might smudge.
Once dry, tie on some ribbon and hang it on your tree for all to admire!
