Ready to kickstart your lettering journey? Over 5 days, this free course will guide you through the 8 basic strokes that are the secret to smooth, beautiful letters. We’ll cover everything from how to hold your pen to how to change pressure for those characteristic thick and thin lines — plus all the stuff that makes learning modern calligraphy way easier (and way more fun!). There are no fancy tools needed — just a pencil and paper, or a brush pen if you prefer. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation and the skills ready to start creating letters you’re proud of.
I have been an avid crafter, artist and maker most of my life, and spent over 14 years as a graphic designer in my early career. However it was during a battle with postnatal depression following the birth of my second child in 2017 when I started her hand-lettering journey as a way to destress and improve my mental health.
Since then, I went on to build a multi-award winning business using my calligraphy and lettering skills, have my work featured in the UK’s largest wedding blogs, including Rock my Wedding and Love My Dress, and published my first book in 2020.
I now focus on sharing my love of hand-lettering with others and teaching people that learning calligraphy doesn't have to be expensive or difficult. My courses are designed to make the process of learning fun and enjoyable, with short, simple, follow-along lessons that anyone can do, wherever you are.
